Bachelor Days

Two weekends ago, Weenie left me to go visit friends in Oklahoma. That meant that Mooey was babysitting me. So, Friday night we stayed in, got takeout and watched DVR. Mooey fell asleep on the couch and I went to bed. She left around 8:00 and I went back to bed until around 9:30.

I drove over to Mooey's house and left the truck. We got in her buggy and headed to Dino's for breakfast.

Looks like Mooey is still sleepy!

After breakfast it was time for haircuts!

After our cuts, we went back to Mooey's to kill time before we were going to start drinking beer. Pickle brought Dilly over for Mooey to babysit. We played with him for hours.

After we wore Dilly out, we got dressed and went up to Los Compadres for chips and dip and beers. It was so beautiful outside.


Could my hair be shorter? Am I enlisting?

It started to get chilly once the sun started to set so we went to the Blue Monkey to play the trivia machine.

We racked up 65 million and it was time to go. We were already kinda buzzy. We were meeting Jed and V at Mary's for darts.



We arrived at Mary's around 7:30.

Once Jed and V showed up, we had a shooter.

Since we started so early in the day, I was only able to last until midnight. Plus I missed Weenie.

Trivia Wednesday

Mooey, Weenie and DP and I met up Wednesday at the Blue Monkey for trivia. As you'll remember, we won last week.

Things were going good and we were in 2nd at halftime.

I looked up and saw Dyna and Andrew walking through the door. Surprise!!! We were a bit distracted after that and finished a dismal 8th. We are skipping this week because of the holiday but will be back next week! The D List will rise again!

Trivia!

Tonight we will be defending our title as Trivia Champs of the Blue Monkey. Here's me with the winnings last week. DP, Mooey, Weenie and I won! We figured since it was just us 4 we had no chance and we were just going to play for fun. Apparently we are fucking geniuses!

Karn Turns 50!

Saturday night, the 20th, we celebrated Karn's 50th birthday at Raffe's Beer Garden. We'd never been there before but the food was outstanding. Standard Greek fare but it really didn't compare to what I'd just eaten in Greece but it was really good. I can't wait to go back.

Since Weenie and I had a previous engagement that night, we had Karn open the gift a bunch of us went in together to buy. It was a Nano Ipod. She was thrilled.

Then Liz wanted her to go ahead and open her gift from her. It was a digital camera!

Then the belly dancer started. She was really good.

She grabbed Karn out and gave her some pointers.

Then a bunch of people got out there and were trying to move their hips like she was. I don't see how anyone can move their hips like that.

Then we headed down to Mud Island for The Black Crowes. Weenie and I had 10th row.

As you can see, I was too scared to try and get a shot that wasn't blurry. The staff was everywhere looking for cameras.

After the show, we went to One More. Mooey was there as well as a bunch of others from the 50th birthday party.
Lucas (aka Chris Robinson) and his girlfriend even came up to the One More. They were at the concert.
