Orlando Day 3

Sunday morning, we loaded up the boat again and headed to Lake Kissimmee. We arrived arrived around 11:00 or so. I finally felt like I had turned a corner on my bronchitis and I was ready to drink some beer!

It was a little overcast which was okay by me.

Look what happened at the beach the day before. It seems the sun is way stronger at the beach than at the lake.It had started to rain in this picture. Weenie was cold so she wrapped up in a towel.

The wildlike on the lake was amazing. Check out this huge hawk. She was guarding her nest.

Andy and Pete were getting the fishing gear ready.

Weenie and Andy were casting mamas!

Then it was time to shoot some whiskey out of the thermos.

There were lily pads everywhere.

We finally gave up fishing. No one got a bite. That was okay too. Just being on the boat is super fun. We had stopped the boat so Weenie could get on the ladder and pee. Pete looked up and said, "Uh, there a gator right over there!" Weenie scrambled back up the ladder and we all gazed in awe. We approached it cautiously and it went under and disappeared. Then, there was another one! Two alligators!

Then it was time to drink more.

Our captain.

Weenie and Andy love Tesla.

We had a blast and after the rain, it turned out to be a beautiful day. As we were going back to the boat ramp, a bald eagle flew by. I didn't have my camera out unfortunately. It's the first time I've ever seen one in the wild. We saw another one on the gravel road on our way out. It was on a telephone pole looking for food. What a beautiful and majestic bird.

We got pizza on the way home and then all fell out. We got up at 5:00 the next morning for the red eye home. It was sad leaving but we will be back soon!
